Looking to make something sweet for your special person on V-Day? Don’t worry, these recipes aren’t too difficult AND they’re super cute.
By the way… these are also great snacks to make for when your girl friends come over to watch some sappy rom-com and laugh off their last breakup. Who said V-Day had to be just for the taken people?

1. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
Obviously! These make a great snack and require nearly zero skill to make… you may just get a little messy.
Grab a pack of strawberries from the store and some chocolate to melt. You can buy little packs of chocolate melts from the store for a pretty cheap price. Warm it up in a bowl in the microwave and then dip your strawberries in. Place them on a baking sheet or plate (or whatever will fit in your fridge) and let them cool until they harden. Make these a few hours in advance!
2. Red Velvet Cheesecake Bites
Love cheesecake and don’t want to share a slice? These little cheesecake bites are cute and simple to make. Follow the recipe on Sweet and Savory Meals. (Psst, you can use boxed cake mix… and they have a follow-along video, too)
3. Charcuterie Board

Here’s an idea… instead of mainly cheese and crackers, can we have melted chocolate and a bunch of fruits?
Make a plate of salty AND sweet snacks. I’m talking pretzel rods, soft cheeses, chocolate bark, fondue dip, strawberries, raspberries, Oreos, anything cinnamon and sugar, wafers, donut holes and maybe those cheesecake bites from the last recipe? I’m in.
4. Strawberry Love Notes
If this post was a competition for best dessert, these would win in so many categories.
These pastries are adorable, only 3 ingredients and so tasty! Roll out some pie crusts, slab on the strawberry jam and get creative with it. Check out the recipe (and adorable pictures) on PunchFork.
5. Skillet Cookie Cake

These were one of my favorites as a kid. I remember digging into this giant pie-of-a-cookie with a little spoon and eating until my stomach hurt. And it’s so easy to make.
Throw some pink and red M&M’s on top and there you have it: a festive cake for two! Need a recipe? Check out the one on Inspired By Charm.
6. Strawberry Cake Mix Cookies
Hooray for easiness AND an adorable pink treat! These cookies use strawberry cake mix, eggs and oil to whip up a deliciously soft cookie. They also taste amazing dipped in chocolate. Find the recipe here, from I Heart Nap Time.
7. Chocolate Lava Cake for Two

Oh, so you’re a chocolate-lover? I’ve yet to attempt this one, but it looks delicious and has some good reviews. If you’re looking to try something new (or have a laugh or two with your partner while you both try to bake together), give this one a try. The full recipe is on Bigger Bolder Baking.
What Are You Makin’?
Pick a recipe, grab a friend or partner, or surprise someone you love with a warm dessert to their doorstep.
I’ll be trying the charcuterie board for sure (with some chocolate-covered strawberries, of course).
Yours Truly,
Cat Taylor
