“What’s up [gym] addicts?” is the one-line opener for all of Studio by Jamie‘s videos. Just hearing that sound takes me back to quarantine days in Florence, Italy.
While the window view was amazing out of my bedroom, I think the only thing keeping me sane AND giving me something to look forward to was this woman’s videos.
She, and her team behind her, demonstrate workouts that range from dance, mixed cardio, yoga and HIIT workouts. The dance ones are the most fun in my opinion. The LED lights, upbeat music and constant words of encouragement make it seem more like a party than an intense workout – until you see how many calories you’ve burned!
I wanted to share some of my favorite videos to try at home. Especially for all the people stuck in quarantine during this cold & flu season, this one’s for you!
The following are all videos made by Studio by Jamie. The titles of the videos are clickable links to YouTube for your convenience!
My Ultimate Favorites
1. The Most Fun 15 Minute Cardio Dance Fitness Workout EVER
Here’s a great place to start, with still a GREAT cardio workout! This video was the first one I ever saw from her, and one of the first workouts I tried at home. It’s fun, not too long, and comes to about 12 minutes of movement. It can be difficult as you’re bobbing from side to side and doing jumping jacks to some silly, electric pop song – but I promise, it’s worth it! Make it fun, do what you can and commit to watching the whole thing! (it’s only 12 minutes, right?)
2. 2000s HITS DANCE FITNESS WORKOUT FOR ALL LEVELS
Starting out with Low by Flo Rida, I already knew this was going to be a fun one (seriously, make your roommate or best friend do this with you and you’ll be laughing the whole time). This workout has fun, upbeat music and moves that can easily be adjusted to your own level. It’s 20 minutes – work your best at it!
3. Boy Toy Dance Fitness Workout | 15 Minutes | Usher and Jason Derulo are Coming To Dance!
For people who lived through the 2012 pop era (I’m talkin’ Usher, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Kesha and Jason Derulo), this one will bring you so much joy and nostalgia. This video is only 15 minutes, although she used to have a 45 minute-version that got taken down by YouTube. Grab your sneakers and definitely give this one a try.

More Dance, Dance, Dance!
4. Beyoncé Dance Fitness Workout | 15 Minute Cardio PARTY with Queen Bey
Did someone say Queen Bey? Whenever “Crazy in Love” comes on, I just want to dance anyway, so this 15-minute workout was automatically a ton of fun. Talk about some POWER moves, ladies!
5. A BREAK UP DANCE WORKOUT DEDICATED TO ALL THE EXES | 15 MINUTE GLOW UP SESH
If this is your case, I can’t think of a better way to GLOW UP. Seriously. It’s 15 minutes, filled with some bada** pop hits, and Jamie is super helpful in guiding you through the moves (not to mention her hilarious AND kind commentary).
HIIT Dance Workouts
7. The Best 20 Minute Dance Cardio HIIT Workout EVA
This one is a HIIT dance workout, meaning that your heart-rate is going to get right up there. It’s easy to modify if you’re feeling tired (don’t ever OVERDO it!), which is super helpful for a starter video (or, go all out!). The pop music includes SIA, Shakira, Lady Gaga and ends with a cool down to one of my favorite Chris Brown songs… I’ll leave you to see which one!
6. Inspirational HIIT Dance Workout to build Confidence | This is More Than a Workout
Get into it with this one! This workout is only 10 minutes but filled with energy and fun movements. It’s great for those looking to try out something new and get a taste of what HIIT looks like.
Make Working Out Fun!

Between the music, fun moves and fast-paced routines, these follow-along videos are so much fun. If they’re a challenge for you (they were for me a bit at first), then take it slow! You don’t need to perfect every move to get a good workout in.
If you need more encouragement, grab a buddy. It’s even more fun hat way!
If you’re not a good dancer, don’t worry – that’s not even the point of the videos. They simply show you a FUN way to burn calories that honestly makes you forget you’re putting in work. Set your own pace, do as much of it as you’d like, and there’s no pressure to “be good” at it. It’s all good fun!
Yours Truly,
Cat Taylor
